I have been your teacher since you started year 7. You have always been an awesome class to teach.
In August 2013 you have just started your 8th year at our school. We saw each other for one lesson and then I had to stay home until Christmas the same year. I experienced the worst time of my life. Our ”son”, who was in foster care in our family, was all of a sudden moved back to his mother. He came to our family when he was about 1 1/2 years old and he was 4 1/2 when he left. If you want to read about what really happened you can do it here: ”Han kom som ett yrväder med ett gosedjur om halsen…”
You supported me and my family. You sent me messages and letters and showed me that you cared for me. I started working again in December 2013 and you where there for me. I sometimes cried in class and you told me that you understood…
We, together, decided to change our lessons. I didn’t know a thing about how to blog or how to use digital tools in the classroom, but we changed the English lessons together. You and I. Hand in hand.
Our work resulted in this blog and it also resulted in that I wrote a book about how we did: Digitala arbetssätt i klassrummet- att våga ta språnget
Without You I would never have learned so much about how to work with computers and iPads in the classroom. We did it together!
I really don’t know how to thank you. Every teacher should get the chance to teach a class like 9C.
THANK YOU! / Sara
